Discipline & Termination
Discipline and Involuntary Employment Termination
Employees who violate Tenth’s policies and/or who do not conduct themselves appropriately (including, but not necessarily limited to, by violating the Employee Conduct Policy) will be subject to appropriate discipline, up to and including possible termination of employment. Discipline decisions are made on a case-by-case basis as determined appropriate for the situation in the sole discretion of Tenth. Discipline may include, but may not be limited to, a verbal or written warning or reprimand, performance improvement plan, suspension, or termination of employment as deemed appropriate by Tenth. It remains the sole discretion of Tenth to choose the appropriate level of discipline to be imposed for any employee infraction.
Involuntary employment termination does not require prior warning or discipline of any kind. Tenth is an “at-will” employer and may terminate your employment relationship at any time, with or without cause and without notice.
Resignation/Voluntary Employment Termination.
A written resignation submitted to the Administrator and the employee’s supervisor at least two (2) weeks in advance of the effective date of termination is requested.
Employees who fail to report for work and do not themselves call or contact the Administrator or their supervisor for three (3) consecutive business days will be considered to have resigned voluntarily unless they offer an explanation satisfactory to the Administrator and their supervisor upon return. If an employee is medically incapacitated such that contacting Tenth himself/herself is not possible, it will be acceptable to have a member of the immediate family contact the Administrator regarding the employee’s absence from work.
Termination Requirements
Employees leaving Tenth’s employ should meet with their supervisor and/or the Administrator for:
• Exit interview
• Submission of final time reporting to determine accrued pay, residual vacation days, and resolution of the final paycheck
• Determination of continuation or conversion of health insurance and other employee benefits
• Return of any company property such as computer, key, ID badge, credit card, etc.
