Completing Background Checks

Pennsylvania law makes the background check process fairly complicated, and include three separate checks from three separate agencies. Each is valid for five years from the date it is issued.

We have done what we can to streamline the process. Every volunteer or employee who needs a background check should go to tenth.org/backgroundcheck, sign in, and follow the instructions there. The instructions are customized to you depending on your specific situation and which checks you need, so it's important to follow exactly the instructions presented there.

If you have PA background checks from your employer or a school, we may be able to accept them, but you still need to follow the instructions at tenth.org/backgroundcheck. Through that process, you will eventually come to a stage where you can submit your existing documents and we will verify them.
